Yes. Each new Elefanty account receives one free Evidence Record — the full product, including file fingerprinting, independent timestamp, Bitcoin-backed verification, and a downloadable timestamp proof. After that, each Evidence Record is $9.
What is a digital fingerprint (SHA-256)?
SHA-256 is a cryptographic hash function that creates a unique 256-bit fingerprint of digital content, displayed as 64 hexadecimal characters. The same input always produces the same fingerprint. A changed input produces a different fingerprint. It is designed to be a one-way function — your creation cannot be reconstructed from the fingerprint.
Does Elefanty put my file on Bitcoin?
No. Your creation remains private. Only the 32-byte Evidence Fingerprint is submitted for independent timestamping through OpenTimestamps. Your files are never published to Bitcoin.
Can I verify the timestamp without Elefanty?
Yes. Elefanty provides a standard .ots proof file compatible with OpenTimestamps tooling. You can download and verify it independently using compatible OpenTimestamps software.
Does Elefanty prove copyright or ownership?
No. Elefanty creates evidence of what existed and when. It does not grant copyright, patents, trademarks, ownership, authorship, or legal protection. It does not replace professional legal advice or official intellectual property registration.
